Short Commercial

Problem

Curblist addresses Singapore's significant issue of food waste, which ranks as the third largest waste stream in the country. Each day, over 2 million kilograms of food is discarded in Singapore.

About half of all food waste in Singapore originates from households, and on average, half of household garbage is food waste. This waste is typically caused by overbuying, poor planning, and improper storage management.

Opportunity

Curblist helps mitigate this problem by assisting in organizing groceries, maintain them, and keep track of groceries you’ve already bought. Through partnerships with supermarkets across Singapore and leveraging the power of AI, Curblist simplifies the shopping experience by automatically inputting users' purchases and providing reminders about items that are nearing their expiration date or need attention.

This proactive approach helps users reduce food waste by ensuring that purchased items are used efficiently and stored correctly, thereby contributing to a more sustainable and responsible consumption pattern.

Ideas

Curblist distinguishes itself from other grocery listing apps through its advanced receipt scanning feature. This allows users to effortlessly scan their receipts using their phone's camera. Once scanned, Curblist's AI swiftly extracts data, categorizing each item to create a well-organized list of purchases.

Curblist's AI also estimates expiration dates for listed groceries, helping users manage their inventory better. This feature ensures perishable items are consumed before they expire, aiding in meal planning, reducing food waste, and saving money.
